About

I find meaning in the natural world, I’m moved by the human heart and am inspired by the mysterious beauty of being alive.

About Alanna

I have always been fascinated by the human experience in particular how we relate to ourselves, others and life.

From a very young age I could see worlds within people - untouched parts that rarely found way to the surface that longed for expression. I could see how rarely we express how we feel, say what we mean or ask for what we need. I could see that we are as afraid of our joy, as we are our pain. Curious, I began to ask why? And so began a lifelong exploration into the study of art, poetry, spiritual practice, mysticism, embodiment therapy and celtic mythology  that has me offering the work I now do.

I believe that relationships – particularly our female relationships – are the most complex, rewarding and essential experiences of our lives and that when our relationships feel deep, intimate and alive, so does our life.

Everything is relationship and the moment we make this recognition, is the moment we recognise our belonging to everything.

Having lived and travelled all over the world, I now make home on a farm with my beloved and our two beautiful sons in luruwita (Tasmania, Australia).

My life and work in complete devotion, to the relational nature of living.

Just like the sun that rises and brims with possibility of everything,

I believe in the wondrous possibility that brims from learning how to hold ourselves with love.

About My Work

My work is supported by my studies and experience in yoga and meditation, emotionally focused therapy, attachment theory, kundalini tantra, somatic embodiment and poetry. Working with me involves healing deeply rooted beliefs, patterns and behaviours, most often established in childhood, that have caused a disconnect in your relationship with self, others and life. Exploring everything from nature to nurture, heartbreak to healing, mindfulness to mysticism, childhood to parenthood, sensuality to wonder, somatics to science and all the experiences that run through a human life: vulnerability, joy, grief, shame, courage, beauty, despair and awe.

Through Relationship Therapy, Emotional Embodiment Education and Poetry my work explores the relational nature of living. Whether it be relationship with your body, emotions, identity, spirit, others or the natural world I see all of life as relationship, all reflective of the relationship you’re having with yourself, all relevant and full of the wisdom you seek. The gift being, that by their very nature, relationships are constantly changing and constantly growing - inviting us to do the same.
